The earthquake in Syria and Turkey: recommended donations routes

On the 6th of February 2023, an earthquake hit northwest Syria and southern Turkey resulting in massive humanitarian crisis. These areas are home for millions of Syrian refugees and internally displaced people who fled the protracted conflict in Syria. Death toll have reached thousands and is expected to reach tens of thousands in the next few days. Many people are still trapped under the rubble and rescue teams are fighting to rescue them. Many of those who survived are unable to return their homes as they have either collapsed or have a high risk of collapsing.

Currently, there is an urgent need for individual donations as big institutional donors are usually slow to act. These donations will go to first respondents rescuing people or supporting those who survived.
